Policies

Please read each policy & sign with your initials below each policy. Once you've read through everything- there is a place to initial and sign & date at the bottom. If you have any questions- please do not hesitate to ask. Thank you!

Temperament Policy:Temperament Policy: We require a temperament evaluation and screening prior to accepting your dog(s) into our day care facility. Please call 415-954-2275 or email us at info@barkavesf.com to make an appointment.*

I agree to spay or neuter by 6 months of age.*

Updated Hours: We are open Monday through Fridays from 7:30 am until 6:30 pm.*

Trial Day: Upon completing all required paperwork, we will schedule a trial day for your dog. The trial day will be used to see if we are good fit for you and your dog. Typically it will take anywhere from 1 day up to a month to see how your dog is doing & adjusting with us. We will always keep you posted & informed on how your dog is doing in our care.*

Good Health Policy: We require your dog be in good physical and mental health. Please notify us of any changes in your dog’s behavior.*

Sick Dog Policy: if your dog is sick please take him/her to the vet. We reserve the right to refuse a visit if your dog arrives sick or with fleas. If your dog becomes sick while here, we will call you to pick up your dog, or if an emergency, we will take the dog to our vet if we deem it necessary. You will be responsible for any vet bills.*

Collar/Harness Policy: Leather or nylon quick-release collar/harness are required. If you don't have a harness- do not worry. we have lots that we can use with your dog. And if you'd like to purchase any- we are happy to give you some recommendations.*

Leash Policy: At Bark Avenue, safety is our top priority. Therefore we enforce leash laws. Your dog must be leashed when you drop him/her off and you must have a leash when you pick him or her up. We use our own leashes while your dog is at daycare*

Reservation Policy: At Bark Avenue, we require a two-day per week minimum. We also require you pick which days you would like your dog to play at Bark Avenue. Because of our limited space, we will always hold your spot for you on the days your pick. We cannot however, issue any credits or refunds if you decide not to come on your scheduled day, even if for medical reasons.*

** UPDATED* Cancelations/Add-On: No cancellations. Should you need to miss daycare for any other reason, will be charged your monthly membership. You can request additional days by logging onto your Pet Check account and pending availability of space will either be able to accept or decline. Any permanent schedule change requests should be emailed to amanda@barkavesf.com and a decision will be made pending availability*

Termination of Service: a written notification(emailed to amanda@barkavesf.com) is required at least 30 days in advance to terminate service.*

Payment Policy: Payment will be made in advance, on a monthly basis, on the 1st of each month via Pet Chcek. (You will receive your log in info)*

Drop Off Times/ Locations: Small dogs: 301 King Street: Dogs must be dropped off between 7:30- 9:30am. Big dogs: 5th & berry location: is 7:30-9:30 am. Should you need a slightly earlier drop off, please email us.*

Pick Up Times/Locations: Small dogs: Dogs must be picked up between by 4-6:30 PM at our King Street location. Big Dogs: Dogs must be picked up between 4-6:30 PM at our Berry Street location. Please notify us if you are running late to avoid extra fees. If you need to pick up your dog before 4pm, please make sure you notify us ahead of time.*

Late Policy: Please be prompt about picking up your pal at the end of the day. If you are late- please call or text as soon as possible. Our late fee is $1/minute for each minute after 6 pm. If you are 15 or more minutes late, with out prior notice, you may be charged an additional $100. Recurrent tardiness may result in a required alternative pick up solution.*

Weekend & Holiday Care: We close down for weekends/ holidays. You will be noticed of upcoming closures. We offer limited weekend/ holiday care by appointment only. We also offer occasional weekend playcare from 9am-2pm. Please contact us for information.*
