We’re unlike any other daycare in San Francisco; dogs at Bark Avenue don’t spend their days indoors languishing on the daycare floor. We offer a one of a kind experience that combines indoor play, at least 3 walks around the neighborhood and trips to nearby dog parks per day to exercise your dog’s bodies and stimulate their minds. At the same time, our certified dog walkers work to reinforce your training foundation with a focus on basic obedience, good leash manners and solid recalls.
We take time to carefully-organize small playgroups of 4-5 dogs per human for trips around Mission Creek Park and even take the dogs who enjoy off-leash play at fenced-in dog parks to one of the two local dog parks. To do this, we maintain a high staff-to-dog ratio and choose our staff members both for their love of dogs and their commitment to professional development. All of our staff are certified professional dog walkers through the dog*biz Dog Walking Academy certified in canine first aid and CPR through Pet Tech, fully insured, and trained in safety protocols.
We offer separate, kennel-free playrooms for small and large dogs, each designed with your dog’s safety in mind. Our playrooms provide plenty of room to romp on slip-resistant rubber flooring that is slightly cushioned to help protect your dog’s joints. Rooms are equipped with size-appropriate toys and designated rest areas with a variety of cozy spaces to snuggle up for nap times — giving your pup a chance to relax in comfort after all that play!
