Bark Avenue is a boutique doggy daycare located in the Mission Bay neighborhood of San Francisco.

We offer a one-of-a-kind doggy day care experience that includes:

Indoor Play

We offer separate, kennel-free playrooms for small and large dogs, each designed with your dog’s safety in mind.

Neighborhood Walks

We take time to carefully-organize small playgroups of 4-5 dogs per human for trips around Mission Creek Park.

Dog Park Romps

Have an adventure dog? We take regular trips to nearby dog parks where your pup gets to romp, race, and play with their friends!

What Sets Us Apart

Because we have a max capacity of just 25 dogs per day, you can rest easy knowing that your pup will receive plenty of personal attention and loving care. All of our staff are certified professional dog walkers through the dog*biz Dog Walking Academy, and we are certified in canine first aid and CPR, fully insured, and trained in safety protocols!

* Reduced Hours due to COVID-19: Monday through Fridays, 7:30 am till 6:30 pm. Closed weekends and major holidays.

About Us

Bark Avenue Methods & Philosophy

In interactions with our dogs, Bark Avenue employees use only positive reinforcement dog training methods, based on canine behavioral science. We use natural dog motivators like toys, treats, praise, and attention to elicit the desired behavior. Dogs are never subjected to punishment, threats, yelling, or aversive techniques involving leashes or collars.

Our puppy has been going for only about a month, but there is no other doggy daycare I’d send her to! I have a 6 month old French bulldog puppy that has a finicky stomach, is not yet fully potty trained (we’re very actively working on it!), and apparently is a serial pooper at daycare (so so sorry….). The entire staff have been nothing but understanding, patient, and kind, so much so that my puppy shakes in excitement each time I drop her off.
